Fusing design and functionality – The art of the science
I have to confess – I learnt this the hard way.
As a craftsman you always feel you know it all and sometimes will tend to show off when it’s not actually needed. This happens when you learn a new technique/skill/technology. This is good and fine ‘cos you’ve obviously improved your craft which is paramount to YOU.
What you can’t do is let that new knowledge or eagerness to implement new knowledge come between YOU and the USER of your artifact in terms of usability.

The human capacity to pick up skills due to repetition is outstanding. As a Human here are a few of the digital creative skills I’ve been fortunate to pick up . Of course I know other stuff too – But thats irrelevant in this context
